Alternate Universe Trinity
Story
By Princess Alexandria
Description: Trinity faces her first Christmas with her lovers and realizes that she has no idea what to get them. What do you get two millionaires that could afford to buy themselves anything they wanted?
12/15 – Sunday
Trini made sure she had a firm grip on Alexander's hand before crossing the street. She felt nervous having the little boy all to herself. He was pretty relaxed though. He seemed to practically skip across the street with her.
"I want to go in that store." Alexander pointed his small finger towards a brightly decorated store.
"Okay." Trini smiled at him. She was going to let him call all the shots on this shopping trip. David had given Trini a credit card to purchase anything that Alexander wanted to buy for Christmas presents. Trini could have afforded to do it herself for the boy, but David insisted. Trini was still a bit uneasy about the fact that her name was on that credit card. It sat in her wallet next to the other VISA from Domi's account. Domi had given her that months ago, shortly after their joining, but Trini never used it.
Trini pushed the cart and forced herself to not grimace when Alexander picked gifts that were completely inappropriate for whoever he was shopping for. Angela was now going to be the proud owner of a stuffed frog that sang Christmas songs. The cart was filled with gifts for the gargoyles. Alexander had made Trini make a list with him before they went shopping.
"Who do we have left?" Alexander asked while standing up very straight, obviously trying to look very grown up.
Trini hid a smirk and pulled out the list, marking off Angela's name before replying. "It looks like you just have your mother and Domi." She stumbled a bit over Domi's name. She was still surprised that Alexander had insisted that she be added to the list. Trini still wondered how Domi was going to take the fact that Alexander was giving her a gift. Alexander had only seen Domi a few times, when Domi dropped by to pick Trini up or to help Fox train Trini to fight, but apparently he liked what he saw.
They came out of the large store just an hour after they entered it, and Alexander was completely done with his Christmas shopping. Trini put the boy in the car before putting the bags in the trunk. It was cold and she didn't want him near the traffic either. She found herself constantly aware of any threat to the boy. Fox had told her before they left for shopping that she wasn't at all worried about Alexander's safety, with Trini there, but Trini was worried and very tense.
As she set the last bag in the trunk she felt a wave of jealousy. She wished shopping was as easy for her. She'd glanced around the store while shopping with the boy, and she never once saw anything that she wanted to buy for Fox or Domi. She did pick up a few small things for the clan while she was there, but the two women that were the most important people in Trini's life were impossible to shop for.
Trini took a deep breath of cold air and forced herself to push the depression away yet again before she opened the door and hopped in the car. "You want to go out to eat? Just the two of us?" She noticed his eyes seem to light up and was glad she didn't just take them home right away, like she wanted to. "We can eat anywhere you want."
12/16 – Monday
Gregory waved to Trini as she pulled into the mansion gates right after he pulled out. He must love the winter, because he never had to work a full day, since Domi wanted him far away before her nightly change.
Trini finished putting the dinner dishes in the dishwasher, before turning to Domi. "It's almost Christmas." She felt a little tense. Domi had never once brought up the holiday, and the house was just as it always was, without decoration or anything that signaled the time of year.
"I don't celebrate that human holiday." Trini watched her lover sigh heavily. "But you want me too, don't you?"
Trini went quiet for a moment. "Do you celebrate any holiday?" They'd never talked about this. Trini had always assumed that her lover would do Christmas, but when it got to the middle of December, and no mention was made she realized they did need to talk about this. Trini leaned her back on the counter and watched Demona as the gargoyle appeared to be deep in thought and lost in the past.
"I haven't celebrated anything in a very long time, but the clan used to celebrate the solstice when I was little."
"Can we do that?" Trini asked quietly. She didn't want to just pretend the holidays weren't happening while at this home. Also that would be very convenient to celebrate a different holiday than she was doing with Fox. She wouldn't have to find a way to see them both on one day.
"We can do that." Demona gave Trini a slight smile and it was settled.
Demona went out to glide, but because of the cold, Trini couldn't go with her. Once the cold weather had come in, it became very obvious that Trini's human skin couldn't take the cold nearly as well as Demona's skin did. Even dressing in warmer clothing didn't help, because Trini hated to wear the ski mask, and her face couldn't take the freezing wind. Trini missed gliding with her lover, and was going to be glad when winter was over. Once Demona went out to glide for a while Trini realized that she now had even less time to come up with a present idea now. The solstice was on the 21st.
12/17 – Tuesday
Trini barely had the energy to drag herself out of bed and come to work. As soon as she stepped into the office she could tell by Domi's instantly concerned expression that she wasn't acting as well as she should.
"Ms. Stephens, come into my office." Domi spoke with a hint of concern in her voice, which Carrie either didn't notice or decided to ignore. The blonde secretary was looking at Trini in sympathy as well. What was there a sign on Trini's forehead telling everyone that she was having a lousy day?
Trini moved into Domi's office and sat down, without looking at the redhead staring at her back with a troubled gaze. The door closed and then locked. That was Trini's clue that this was serious. She sat up straighter and tried to appear less shaken up.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Domi sat in the chair beside Trini, rather than at her desk. When Domi reached out to take Trini's hand, Trini gritted her teeth to keep the sobs from escaping, but tears started to slowly make their way down Trini's cheeks.
"It's been a year now." Trini spoke quietly, still fighting the tears. It had been a year since her mother had decided to help Trini by introducing her to her father's clan, and died on the trip there. It was this time last year that Trini was watching her mother's car burn after she'd managed to pry her own body out of it. They'd cremated what was left of her mother's body, since there hadn't really been enough left to bury.
"A year?" Domi sounded puzzled as she pulled Trini into a hug. Trini's sobbing stopped further questions.
Trini was using Domi's executive bathroom to try and clean up. Her eyes were red, and the mascara had run. She was doing what she could to look presentable before leaving the safety of Domi's office. Her sharp ears caught the sound of Domi dialing her phone.
"Fox? I think you should come to NightStone."
"No, she's fine…" Domi started, but then paused, her voice going softer, "well, not really. Did you know that it was the anniversary of her mother's death today?"
Trini stared down at the sink as she listened in on this conversation. Domi obviously forgot that Trini had gargoyle hearing during the day too.
"Me neither. I don't think she should drive today, she's not doing very well. Take a cab or something. She's in no condition to work today."
Trini heard Domi hang up so she started to continue to wipe at her face, trying to hide the evidence of her tears.
The door off the office opened and Domi's voice was still soft, as if trying to keep Trini from hearing it. "Carrie, check my calendar and cancel everything today."
"Is Trini alright?" Carrie's concern was easy for Trini to hear even though it was spoken softly.
"Just cancel my appointments." Domi's business clip was heavy with disapproval. Trini let Carrie call her by her first name, which Domi didn't really agree with. "And when Fox Xanatos comes, let her in, but no one else."
Trini hated that she was inconveniencing her lovers like this. She really had thought that she'd be able to work today. She had no idea it would hit her this hard.
Domi was sitting behind Trini caressing Trini's shoulders gently when the door opened, but the redhead didn't stop. Trini looked up to see Fox's sympathetic eyes and found herself tearing up again.
"I was just in the neighborhood." Fox gave a weak smile. "thought the three of us could do lunch. You didn't eat did you?"
Trini was grateful that Fox wasn't asking questions. It would just ruin her barely held onto control. "Nope, not yet."
Fox drove Trini's car to a nice restaurant, one a bit too nice for Elisa or her friends to afford, so that they could eat. Trini knew that was the reason they were there, but didn't say anything about it. She'd never gone out to lunch with both of her lovers. Fox and Domi kept steering the conversation to keep Trini from dwelling on her pain. She loved them both so much.
12/18 – Wednesday
Trini sat on one side of the conference table in Owen's office waiting for him to read the contract. NightStone and Xanatos Enterprises were going to actually work together on a project, and Domi decided to let Trini take the contract to them. Trini strongly suspected that she was the reason that this project even got off the ground. Living with the CEO's of two major competitors gave her a unique edge in negotiations. She knew that both Domi and David were happy with this contract, which Trini was very glad of. She didn't want to screw Xanatos Enterprises in the deal. Even though she was a NightStone employee, she felt some loyalty to David as well.
"Well, Ms Stephens." Owen actually smirked a little. This was the first time they'd been across the negotiating table from each other. "I will bring this to Mr. Xanatos and I am sure that he will respond by the end of the week." In other words he didn't see anything glaringly wrong with the contract. Once a contract got past Owen, chances were good it would be accepted.
"Well, that's good then." Trini smiled softly, but when she glanced at the window behind him she flinched as she saw the sun dip below the horizon.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Trini said while collecting her files to put in her briefcase. When she glanced up to see him still staring at her she realized that her action could impact the deal if she wasn't honest. She sighed heavily. "I hate sunset and sunrise now. I just can't stop thinking about how much it hurts Blue. It's so hard to watch a lover in pain." The holidays already had her on edge, so the tears in her eyes were an embarrassment. "And I can't even help her, because it wasn't my magic that did that to her. I'm going to have to watch her pain forever." Trini wiped the tears from her eyes, grabbed her briefcase and fled, embarrassed at the admission. She didn't see the thoughtful look on Owen's face as he studied her back while she left.
She knew now that Owen was Puck, and it took her a while to forgive him in her heart for what he did. She knew that making Demona human was a good idea. It had started to help the gargoyle see a different side of humanity, and Trini was grateful for that, but the pain was so cruel. Trini couldn't ask him to fix it, because Domi didn't want Puck's magic anywhere near her, and Puck's magic wasn't free anymore. Trini could sense the cage around the fey that kept him from doing even the simplest spells.
12/19 – Thursday
Trini woke up feeling like she'd just gone through the most rigorous negotiation ever. Talking the Weird Sisters into doing something they didn't want to do was very hard, but it had worked. The sisters had pulled some strings. Trini glanced over at the envelope on the side of the bed that glowed a little with magic as it popped into existence. One present down. After another moment a box appeared beside it. She still had a lot more people to shop for. More than she'd ever had in her life.
Trini wrapped them up and brought them into work with her. These gifts were too precious to leave laying around.
Her body tensed as she sat down at her desk to work. She only had a few days until the Solstice, and she still didn't know what to get Domi.
When Trini got home she bumped into Owen on her way to her rooms, and gritted her teeth praying that he didn’t feel the magic radiating off the presents. She'd have left them at Domi's, but the redhead could feel magic too, and would not appreciate Trini having those things in her home.
"Trini?" Owen stopped walking and stared at her. Trini realized that her prayer wasn't answered. She might as well give it to him now.
Trini gave him a sly smile. "Come with me."
Trini put the other present away and walked out to the living room with the envelope. "I pulled some strings." Trini felt nervous suddenly. Owen had always been so nice to her. She hoped she was right in guessing what he'd want. She handed over the envelope and sat across from him on the couch watching with a nervous stomach. It hadn't been easy to get this for him. Hopefully he liked it.
She watched him stiffly open the envelope, and watched his eyes widen as he read what the card said. "Oh… Trini…" Owen gasped out while continuing to stare. Trini felt a small smile tug at her lips. She could swear his eyes were a little glassy. "Thank you." Owen tore his eyes away from the card and stared at her with open gratefulness. She'd never seen him this emotional.
"I thought you'd like to see your family."
"I don't know how you did this, but thank you." Owen stared down at the invitation to Avalon for a party. He'd be gone from here two weeks, since the party was going to last 14 hours. Trini suspected he had the vacation time.
12/20 – Friday
Trini woke up early. She was running out of shopping time, and was going to have to go brave the stores before work. She grunted out a greeting to Owen and David as she passed them in the halls on her way to the kitchen.
She had barely sat down to numbly drink her juice and try to wake up when the two men came into the kitchen.
"What are you doing up so early?" David seemed amused at Trini's difficulty keeping her eyes open.
"Solstice is tomorrow and I still can't find anything for Domi. I have to go shopping." Trini's voice became slightly bitter, "Shopping for rich people is so hard."
David's smile grew a little flirtatious, "So does that mean that you haven't bought my present yet? I could get you a list." The innuendo didn't go over Trini's head even though her mind was sluggish.
She gave him a slow grin. "I could give you a night of mindblowing sex… but Domi would kill you in the morning. Will that work for you? It would save me money. Fox inherits your business right? That covers two gifts right there."
David laughed, making Trini's grin grow wider.
After Trini finished getting ready she left her rooms, feeling a bit more awake. She was sneaking out, so that Fox could sleep. It was that early.
"Trini" Owen's voice surprised Trini, since the halls were so quiet. She stopped and waited for him to catch up to her. "I want to talk to you."
"I only have a few hours to shop." Trini gave him a slightly pleading look. She felt tense and worried that she'd go into her first Solstice with her mate without a gift to give. This was going to be their first real holiday, the one that they'd remember for years to come, and Trini felt like she was screwing it up because she couldn't find anything for Demona. She saw so many nice things while out shopping, but nothing good enough to show her mate how much Trini really cared about her.
Owen's smile startled Trini. "Oh, I think you won't mind me taking up some of that time. I have a present for you."
Trini walked into the office and had to fight the grin that tugged at her lips constantly. She tucked the bags she had from shopping under her desk and tried to concentrate enough to work.
12/21 – Saturday
Domi had such a self satisfied look on her face as she brought out the silver and gold wrapped box. They only had a short time before sunset and Trini was a bit nervous. The wine and firelight was so romantic. "Go ahead and open this now." Domi spoke gently as she handed the box to Trini.
Trini carefully unwrapped the box, trying not to tear the pretty paper. She couldn't hide a tiny grin as she noticed Domi's impatience out of the corner of her eye.
When she held up the outfit Trini had a puzzled look on her face. It was a black form fitted jump suit of some sort. The material was completely new to Trini. It also came with matching black gloves and boots, and a belt with a gold clasp.
"Try it on." Domi beamed at her. Trini put the items back in the box and carried them into the downstairs bathroom with her to do that.
It looked really good on her, but Trini had no idea what she'd need an outfit like this for. It was skin tight, making Trini very glad that she worked out with both lover's on a regular basis. The gloves didn't seem to hamper the movement of her hands at all. She glanced in the mirror, and briefly thought she could see Catwoman wearing something like this.
When she opened the bathroom door, Domi was right there. The lust filled look of approval made Trini wonder if this was something Domi wanted her to wear for sex.
"That outfit is the latest in thermal protection. You could wander around the south pole in it and stay warm, or…" Domi's grin grew, "go gliding with me in the thick of winter and be comfortable." Domi stepped closer and caressed Trini's cheek. Her voice became softer. "I know you love to glide, and winter lasts far too long. I'm going to take you out tonight."
Trini felt a wave of happiness that was quickly crushed by a realization. "But my face."
Domi caressed that face and kissed Trini softly. "I have a mask for this outfit, or the spell I spent over a month trying to find. I can keep you warm."
Domi's voice became a bit more authoritative. "I'm going to go change and then we are going out." Trini felt for the sun and realized that that it was almost sunset.
Domi gave Trini a curious glance when Trini followed her into the bedroom. Trini never followed Domi when she was about to change forms anymore. It was too hard for Trini to hide how much watching her lover suffer hurt her, and she didn't want to make Domi feel bad for her.
Domi was dressed in her customary night garb and waiting for the last rays of the sun to duck below the horizon.
Trini gave Domi a soft smile. "Happy Solstice. I love you." Trini spoke seconds before wings sprouted from Domi's back, and her feet started to change. Trini watched the shocked look on her lover's face in the near silence of the room.
"What? How did you?" Demona stared at Trini in shock.
"It's gone now." Trini gave Demona a watery smile. "Changing won't ever hurt you again." Trini sent out a silent thank you to Puck again. Like she'd been doing all day. He couldn't hear her, but she was so grateful she couldn't stop.
She'd actually kissed Owen, kissed him hard, when he told her what he was giving her for Solstice. She would always remember his red blush and stammered "your welcome."
12/22 – Sunday
Trini finished eating her lunch while watching Domi getting ready to have lunch with Andrea. She could see Domi was a bit more relaxed. Domi had waited tensely for the sunrise to verify that the spell was changed, that it wasn't a trick Puck did to get her hopes up. The wide smile that covered her lovers face when the pain still didn't plague her made Trini's eyes tear up. She could understand the gargoyle being skeptical, and she was so glad that it was true. It was sad that her present to Demona was the removal of pain. The fact that Demona had lived with that pain for years made Trini wince. At least that was over now.
"Don't tire her out too much. I'm booked for tonight." Trini gave Domi an evil smirk that made it sound much more sexual than it really was. Domi just rolled her eyes in playful irritation and grabbed her purse.
Trini helped Andrea with the dinner dishes. The artist didn't have a dishwasher.
"You should have gone out with Domi and I today." Andrea started the familiar argument.
"I had too much shopping to do." Trini was glad she didn't have to lie. She'd finished shopping for Alexander, and made sure to get something that Domi wouldn't mind giving the boy when Domi saw him next.
While they watched the Christmas movie Trini kept glancing out the window. A green talon waved across it once, and Trini's grin grew. "Andrea," Trini turned to her friend while grabbing the remote and stopping the tape. "I have some people coming over."
Trini ignored Andrea's puzzled expression and went to open the window, letting in a gust of cold air, along with three gargoyles. Trini smiled at them and whispered. "Thank you. I'll make up for the boredom, I promise." She was pleased to see both females there, and Lex's unique wing design was bound to excite the artist. A little louder she addressed Angela. "I thought you had patrol tonight?"
Angela blushed a little while glancing at the wide eyed human before answering. "I wanted to come. I traded with Broadway." Trini could see that Angela wanted to know more about the human her mother called friend.
Trini grinned at Andrea. "You've met Delilah and Angela. This is Lex, Delilah's mate." The green gargoyle held out a hand that Andrea shook while staring at those wings. Trini's smile grew. Lex was definitely a good choice. "They came to model for you."
Andrea's obvious delight warmed Trini's heart. She'd spent hours trying to come up with a gift for the artist, before she approached Delilah with this idea. It was Delilah that suggested a few gargoyles go.
Trini left shortly after the clan started to head home. That had gone incredibly well, and Trini managed to hint that if Andrea wanted to get Domi a good gift, a painting of the pretty lavender female might be good. No one was probably going to see the artist for days. Andrea had drawn frantically to have something to work with later. She also finally got to feel wings. It was a little embarrassing when she mentioned that Marie hadn't let her do that, but the gargoyles had only seemed curious about that. There were so many reasons that Marie might have had for not letting the artist touch her. The clan wouldn't figure out Trini's secret from that one slip.
12/23 – Monday
Trini pulled the box out and sighed heavily. Instead of going home with Domi tonight, Trini had come home early enough to be there before the sunset so that she could catch Elisa. She would have waited until Christmas, but Elisa had to be with her family on that day. This was the closest day off the detective had to the actual holiday.
Trini could feel her face was a little pale as she took the brightly wrapped box with her towards the library. Owen told her Elisa was on her way up, and Trini had to catch her before the clan demanded all of the detective's attention.
"Honey?" Fox stood up from the couch in the library and pulled Trini into a hug. "You can still change your mind. You could save it for another holiday."
"Owen called you too?" Trini smiled weakly.
"Yeah, he thought you could use the help." Fox looked at Trini with concern.
"I don't have the right to feel jealous. She's not mine. I don't know why it still hurts." Trini took a deep breath to calm down as she heard Elisa's footsteps in the hallway coming their way. "Showtime."
Trini forced a happier expression to her face, and after a moment of Fox looking at Trini in concern, Fox followed suit.
"Elisa." Trini spoke drawing the detective out of her single-minded trip outside. They still had five minutes before the clan woke up. Elisa lit up a bit as she noticed Trini. Trini held out the box. "I have a present for you." Trini felt like a five year old, with an introduction like that.
Elisa held up the loincloth and halter top with a bit of apprehension. Trini had made them to be different than Demona's so that it wouldn't bring up some negative emotions for Elisa and Goliath. The red would look nice against Elisa's skin tone. "Trini? I…" Elisa was obviously very confused.
Fox glanced at the little bit of cloth, and her voice was a little smoky, "Try it on. I want to see it."
Trini turned to glare a little at Fox. That wasn't the way to get Elisa to do that. Trini heard the roars of the clan and knew that her time was almost up. "Please try it on. I made it myself. I want to make sure it fits." Trini gave Elisa her best puppy dog eyes, and could see it might not be enough.
"Trini, this is a little… little for me to wear this time of year." Elisa was obviously trying to be diplomatic while holding up the small outfit.
While Fox started to try and talk Elisa into it again, Trini caught Angela's eye as Angela came in and mouthed the words "help." Angela wandered over immediately. Trini hadn't told anyone about this gift, and she desperately hoped Angela would help her with it.
"It's warm enough in here. Just for a second." Trini tried one more time.
"Oh, that is so cute." Angela beamed at the outfit and then Elisa. "We have to see it on." Trini felt her heart pound as she waited to see if that helped. It did. Elisa picked up the outfit and headed towards the bathroom.
"Fine."
Angela looked at Trini as soon as Elisa was out of the room. "Why did you need her to wear it now?"
Trini glanced over at Goliath giving last minute instructions to the first patrol, before looking back at Angela. "I can't give her the real present until she's wearing that." Angela stared at Trini for a moment, before her eyes widened.
"What did you get her?"
Trini smiled weakly, but was saved from answering as the bathroom door opened. Lex whistled before being playfully bopped in the head by Delilah. Elisa was standing with a bit more confidence in the two piece outfit. Trini swallowed once trying to push the insane part of her that was aroused by the sight away as she stepped closer. She noticed Goliath's eyes lightly glowing, and knew he appreciated the outfit too. "One last thing." Trini's hands were a little shaky as she quickly slipped the amulet over Elisa's head and stepped back quickly.
Once the bright flash of green magic faded, Trini could see that it worked. Elisa was a gargoyle. Elisa was also staring at her talons in shock. "It's temporary. Just tonight." Trini spoke quickly before Elisa started to worry. Elisa turned glowing red eyes to Trini and Trini spoke softly, soft enough for Elisa's gargoyle hearing to catch her, but the rest of the clan was still staring at them in shock, and not close enough to hear. "You are a gargoyle INSIDE and out. You can be with him tonight."
Trini moved closer and quickly hugged Elisa. "I love you. I just want you happy." Tears started to travel down Trini's face. "I… I have to go."
Fox came into Trini's room ten minutes later. "They went gliding." Fox squatted down beside Trini, "She says thank you. She would have told you herself, but I told her you wanted her to enjoy as much of the night as she could."
Trini moved so that Fox could cuddle with her. "I haven't been with her in months. I love you and Domi so much. Why does this hurt."
"Because you are finally letting her go." Fox answered quietly. "You've been in love with her for that whole time, and now you are finally letting her go."
"This bond thing we have sucks some times." Trini smiled weakly. Fox was always so very good at understanding Trini's emotions. Trini took a deep breath. "I better get over to Domi's. I'm late already."
12/24 – Tuesday
Trini felt bad leaving Domi's house so early on their day, after also having gotten there late. She'd also taken the day off work in her last ditch effort to come up with a present for Fox. She was now running around stores becoming more and more depressed as the perfect gift continued to escape her.
Trini sat down heavily at the deli and stared out the window at the other last minute shoppers as she ate a late lunch. She had a nice nightgown for Fox, but that was hardly the gift she was after, it was just something she thought would look good on the redhead. And shopping for David had proved even more impossible than shopping for Fox. Trini had nothing for the man.
A slightly loud woman was talking with her friend a table over from Trini. "I bought this gorgeous robe. It's a soft peach."
"This isn't supposed to be a trip to get you more clothes." Her friend admonished her. "You wanted to get something for Richard."
"I'll put a bow on me and call it good. He's impossible to shop for." Both women giggled at that. Trini stood up and dumped her tray on her way back out to the stores, a contemplative look on her face.
Trini got home shortly before dinner. She spent the meal glancing at this family she had, and David drew her eyes a few times. She excused herself after dinner to wrap gifts, and David and Fox went out, and didn't specify what they were doing. It was the season of secrets, so Trini didn't press for answers.
Trini decided to follow Domi's example. Trini snuck into David's room and started to set out candles. She brought the wine and let it chill on the nightstand. Every five minutes Trini felt for her mate, to see if Fox and David were coming back. She nervously pulled the robe tight around her body and crawled onto the bed with a book to wait.
When her magical touch finally found that Fox was in the building again, Trini's heart started to hammer in her chest. She felt herself go a little pale, but she quickly lit the candles and tucked her book away. It was showtime.
Trini took a deep breath and pushed her magic out to let Fox know where she was. She could feel Fox's confusion at that. Trini glanced at the bed, which had the covers pulled down. It was so very obvious what she was doing here. Trini licked her lips in her nervousness and admitted to herself that she wouldn't be doing this if she didn't really want to. David would respect her limits. Her tail lashed about nervously as she heard the door open.
Trini watched as her lover's eyes widened in surprise at the seductive display before her. David had to step around Fox because she'd frozen in the doorway to stare. Trini glanced at David and could see she'd finally managed to surprise him. Trini's voice trembled a little. "David? I can't… with you, but…"
"Oh, Trini…" David spoke softly while closing the door and locking it.
"Honey, are you sure?" Fox took a slow step towards Trini, before snapping out of her shock and moving more quickly towards her. Fox reached out and Trini leaned into the caress. Trini's eyes opened to see David standing still watching this. He nodded, and Trini felt her body relax. He understood. This was about Fox.
"Yes, I'm sure." Trini felt a different type of nervousness as she took one step back from Fox and pulled the tie of her robe open, to drop it on the floor. Leaving her naked to both of their eyes.
12/25 – Wednesday
The knocking on the door woke Trini before it did Fox or David. She grimaced when she realized that she'd slept there, and that someone was going to see her coming out of David's bedroom. She reached over Fox's body and shook David. "I think Alex is out there. What do I do?" She really didn't need Alex telling anyone that she slept in here.
"Grab your clothes and you and Fox can go take a shower. I'll take care of him." David grinned wickedly, "Don't take too long, or he'll want to come and get you two."
Fox and Trini walked into the main room, and Trini was surprised at how beautiful it looked fully lit up. The tree was in the corner, but what really drew her attention were the three unexpected guests in the corner drinking and talking. Trini turned wide eyes to Fox who only smiled softly. "You are hard to shop for. I… thought your idea of giving Puck time with his family seemed fitting in a way." Trini's eyes turned back to the sisters and saw that they noticed her.
"Oh God… thank you." Trini told Fox while hesitantly going to meet her family in the flesh for the first time.
Trini didn't see Anastasia walk up to take her place beside Fox to watch this reunion. Anastasia whispered in Fox's ear. Trini didn't see Fox's eyes widen and turn to the doorway to see a man with long black hair watching Trini in amazement and what looked like pride.
