On the Edge of Suspicion - By Princess Alexandria
Day 5 – Friday –
August 1st
Trini tilted her head as Demona nibbled on her neck. At one point Trini could feel the gargoyle's fangs on her skin, as if the gargoyle was going to bite her, but she didn't flinch. A gentle kiss was placed on her shoulder instead. Trini's breathing was a little quicker than normal as she surrendered control of their lovemaking for now. Demona obviously had plans. "Hmm... this will have to go." Demona said softly in Trini's ear as she fingered the buttons of Trini's shirt. They were still just standing on the blanket, and Demona made no motion to indicate that sitting or lying down was required. Trini unbuttoned her shirt slowly while Demona watched her. She moved to reveal herself as seductively as she could, and slowly slid the shirt off her arms and then tossing it on the couch. Part of her was very grateful that she'd worn a matching panty and bra set today, in the hopes that they might finally go that last step. Demona walked around her, as if evaluating her worth as a mate. Trini could feel the heat of the gargoyle's body behind her as Demona nuzzled her neck and then whispered in her ear, "Beautiful... you are so beautiful." Trini felt a flush rise in her cheeks at the appraisal. Her tail flicked a little nervously when Demona made no attempt to move, just standing behind her incredibly close but not touching. She heard the wings spreading out before she saw them. Demona wrapped her arms around Trini's waist, holding her tight while wrapping her wings around her.
The warmth of Demona's wings caressed Trini while the gargoyle continued to lick and nibble on her neck. "Mmm... Blue..." Trini moaned out softly when Demona found a sensitive spot behind her ear. She wanted to wrap her arms around Demona and hold her, but the blue female was behind her. Demona was lightly caressing Trini's stomach while holding her tightly. Trini could feel the press of Demona's breasts against her back. "You are over dressed." Trini said softly. She wanted to feel the gargoyle's naked flesh pressed against her.
"Patience." Demona whispered seductively. "You need to have patience. You'll get what you want, but... not until I say so." Trini trembled a bit at the warm air tickling her ear. Her breathing became a little heavier with her excitement. No one had ever teased her like this, and she found the wanting, the anticipating, was incredibly arousing. "You, however, ARE overdressed." Trini could hear some humor in Demona's voice. Blue talons gently cupped her clothed breasts for a moment, before sliding to the front clasp, freeing them. Trini couldn't see what Demona was doing, because the wings were covering her body when she looked down, wanting to see those beautiful blue hands on her. Demona lowered her bra slowly and then dropped it to the ground. "That's a little better." She whispered in Trini's ear again. Trini arched back into the gargoyle when the hands gently caressed the outside edges of her breasts.
"Oh, God..." Trini moaned out wantonly at that slight touch. Her own hands reached back to caress Demona's hips; it was all she could reach. She could feel Demona's leg tense up before she felt the foot lightly pushing on her own, trying to get her to spread her legs a little. Trini complied; setting her feet shoulder width apart.
"Good girl." Demona whispered. Trini then felt the tip of Demona's tail lightly caressing her sex through her underwear. It startled her and she tried to move, but Demona wrapped her arms around Trini, effectively pinning her to the gargoyle's body. The voice that whispered this time wasn't breathy, or sexy... it was slightly concerned. "You can always tell me no. I'll stop anything if you want me to."
"I don't want you to stop... but this is so one sided." Trini panted out. "If you aren't ready... if you don't want me to touch you... I don't want to use you like this."
The silence from the gargoyle at that worried Trini. Finally Demona spoke, "I am ready. I just want to... I need to..."
"Be in control this time?" Trini said softly. Trini made her voice get huskier to try and encourage the gargoyle to continue. "I have no problem letting you be in control." She started to lightly thrust her hips against the tip of the tail, that Demona hadn't moved while they talked. "Please..." Trini moaned out, needing the gargoyle's touch. When the tail pushed gently against the damp crotch of her panties Trini tried to encourage Demona to use more force, by trying to press closer to it. Her own tail was slowly caressing its way up Demona's leg to try and slip under the loincloth. "Can I?" Trini asked breathlessly as she neared Demona's sex with her own tail.
Demona released her gently. "I need to take my clothes off." Trini took this opportunity to turn around and look at her lover. "And you need to take that underwear off before I rip it off." Demona smiled sexily at her as she started to undo her belt. Trini shyly started to take off her last piece of clothing. Demona had seen her naked before, but this was different, and she found herself feeling self-conscious and worried that the gargoyle wouldn't like what she saw. She watched as Demona removed her clothing seemingly unconcerned, before turning to look at her. Trini hesitantly moved to wrap her arms around the naked gargoyle's neck and leaned in to kiss her. The feel of her flesh pressing against Trini so intimately, made Trini moan.
"I love you so much." Trini said softly while staring in Demona's eyes.
"I love you too." Demona's voice sounded so tender. She leaned in to continue the kiss. Trini arched against her when she felt the gargoyle's talons lightly caressing her scars. Trini slid her hands up Demona's naked back until she reached the wing joints. Demona's kisses became hungrier instantly when Trini started to caress the wing joints lightly. They continued to kiss hungrily, and Trini could feel her legs becoming weak from the pleasure radiating out from where Demona's hands caressed her back. Demona's wings were fluttering uncontrollably as Trini caressed her wing joints right were they met her back. Trini could feel one of Demona's talons slowly sliding down her back, towards the base of her tail. Her breathing became heavier as the hand drew nearer to the overly sensitive base. Demona stopped kissing her lips and trailed kisses along Trini's neck. Trini's body was becoming tense with her anticipation. Her knees almost buckled at the first light caress of the base of her tail. She gripped Demona's shoulders tightly and the gargoyle used her other hand to hold Trini tightly to her body as the caress continued.
"Oh... Blue..." Trini's voice was getting louder. Her sex was throbbing painfully and her tail twitched wildly. Trini's body started to take over for her and she found herself thrusting her hips towards the gargoyle as the caresses continued. "Oh... Blue..." Trini moaned out as she felt her need growing. Her voice took on a bit of a growl. "Yes... oh Yes!" Demona hadn't touched any of the normal sexual spots... and Trini was on the verge of orgasm. "Please... Blue..."
Demona slide her talons around the base and started to caress her pheromone ducts lightly, and she continued the gentle up and down motion, sending bolts of fiery passion and need throughout Trini's body. Trini's entire body convulsed and she had to hang on tightly to Demona to keep from falling down as her orgasm crashed over her, "BLUE... YES..." Trini cried out. Trini's eyes were burning bright red when she was able to open them again. Demona was still rubbing on her ducts... causing shudders of mini orgasms to cascade through Trini's body. Trini reached up with a growl and pulled Demona's head down for a punishing kiss. Her hand slid down to Demona's tail, wanting to make the gargoyle feel the type of pleasure she'd given Trini.
Trini wrapped her hand around the base of Demona’s tail, while wondering how sensitive her tail would be since she wasn’t in season. The gargoyle had claimed it wasn’t sensitive at all when she’d showered with her in Oregon, and had spent more time caressing it than was really necessary. “Yes…” Demona hissed out quietly, while arching back into Trini’s hand. Trini grinned when she realized she’d been tricked into doing this for Demona in Oregon. She ran her fingers along the slight indents under Demona’s tail. Her pheromone ducts were swollen, so it was strange to feel what they were supposed to be normally, when a gargoyle wasn’t getting ready to breed. She could feel the slight shudder run through the female in her arms.
Trini whispered into Demona’s ear, “You lied to me. Your tail seems sensitive enough to me.” Demona turned to look at Trini. She noticed the light red glow in the gargoyle’s eyes, and smirked.
“I love you.” Demona whispered while moving forward to kiss her again. “This feels so nice, but I won’t be able to…” Demona stepped back, breaking Trini’s contact with her. Trini watched hungrily as Demona nervously licked her lips and moved to sit on the blanket. Trini just watched the beautiful blue female lay down on her side while caping her wings around her, concealing some of her nakedness. Demona gave her a seductive smile as she patted the blanket.
Trini crawled over to Demona and laid so that she was facing her. Trini slowly reached out with one hand while watching Demona’s eyes for any sign that she didn’t want to be touched. She gently caressed a blue breast, sliding her hand under the caped wing to touch her. Her pale skin stood out sharply on the deep blue flesh. She watched Demona lick her lips again, before the gargoyle slowly moved to lie on her back, her wings fell from her body, exposing her nakedness. “Trini?” Demona said softly. Trini moved closer to lean over her and kiss her gently. Demona wrapped her arms around Trini and pulled her into another more passionate kiss, that felt a little forced to Trini. She was suddenly concerned.
“Blue… we don’t have to go all the way. We could just… do whatever we’re comfortable with.” Trini said gently when she pulled away.
“I’m not… comfortable on my back. Not yet.” Demona said quietly. Trini just smiled sadly and moved onto her own. She understood what it was like to move into a position and have it bring back bad memories. The gargoyle was smiling down at her shortly afterwards. Trini was surprised when Demona decided to crawl on top of her to kiss her. One blue leg fell between her own, and the thigh pressed lightly against her wet sex. She would have been embarrassed with her arousal being so evident, but when Demona settled down, Trini could feel the gargoyle’s wetness on her own thigh. Demona braced herself on her arms while she stared down into Trini’s eyes. When Demona kissed her Trini wrapped her arms around the gargoyle’s neck and pulled her weight down on top of her. It was so clear that Demona thought she couldn’t take it, but the gargoyle didn’t really weigh that much. The feel of the gargoyle’s body pressing down on her own made Trini moan loudly into the kiss. There was no clothing to detract from the warm feel of skin.
Demona started to rub herself against Trini’s thigh, and making the sexiest whimpers with each thrust. “Blue… do you want.” Trini found herself blushing, but she wanted to do this. She wanted to see her lover up close. “I could go down on you.”
“You wouldn’t mind?” Demona braced herself on her arms and looked down into Trini’s face. Trini saw a bit of surprise, and heard a bit of hope.
Trini smiled softly, “I want to.”
“I’ve never had a lover that would do that.” Demona said while moving off of Trini slowly. Trini missed the warmth of her body. She knew that Goliath had been with Demona, so that means that Elisa is bound to be disappointed on that front as well. She had thought that if he and Elisa couldn’t have regular sex, they could have that. Trini had to force her mind away from worrying about her ex-lover’s sex life to pay attention to the goddess in front of her.
Trini tried to think of a way to do it comfortably, since Demona wasn’t at ease on her back. A slow smile came to her face as she glanced at the couch. Trini picked up several pillows and set them on the couch so that Demona would be sitting on the edge of it and still have back support. It was not nearly as spontaneous as she’d like, but… it would do. She smiled mischievously at the gargoyle watching her. She held out a hand to her. “You are a goddess. Come here and let me worship you.” Demona sat down where she had set the pillows, but she kept her legs firmly closed, obviously not quite ready yet.
Trini straddled her legs and leaned down to kiss her. She trailed her kisses down Demona’s neck, and then she started to nibble on her ears. It was easy to tell how much more sensitive Trini’s ears were than a gargoyle’s then. Demona seemed to find it pleasant, but… not nearly as much as Trini would. Trini reached up and touched the crown, or tiara thing that Demona always wore. She slowly removed it and kissed Demona’s brow ridges. She noticed the gargoyle leaned into that, so she spent some time kissing and nibbling on the ridges. The quiet moan that got her let her know she’d found a sweet spot. Demona pulled her into another kiss, with more passion. Demona’s hands started to caress Trini’s breasts lightly and Trini groaned at the light touch that felt so good, but not good enough. Trini moved backwards and got to her feet. She bent down and got on one knee as she looked into Demona’s face while she gently nudged her legs apart. Demona let her.
“I love you.” Trini said softly and then started to kiss Demona’s thigh. Demona’s sex was open for her eyes. She’d never really seen this part of Demona before. “Can I look?” Trini said while looking up into Demona’s eyes. The gargoyle was watching her intensely and a small smile came across her face.
Demona reached down and started to caress Trini’s hair. “Okay.” Demona spread her legs further apart so that Trini would be able to see. Trini could already tell that Demona wasn’t built too differently from a human, at least not from the outside. She reached out and gently caressed Demona’s labia, making the gargoyle take a deep breath. She then carefully held Demona’s sex open while gently running her finger along the cleft of her sex. Demona’s clitoral hood was much longer than any female Trini had seen before, either in person or pictures. The gargoyle’s sex took on a purple hue as she became aroused, and the clitoris was slowly peeking out as Trini continued to caress around it lightly. Demona moaned out her name. With a small smile on her lips Trini leaned forward to do what no one had ever done for this ancient gargoyle. She could feel Demona tense the moment her mouth touched Demona’s sex. Trini started to back away, worried that it was too soon, but the hand that gently wrapped around the back of her head stopped her. “No… this is good.” Demona said softly. She didn’t force Trini’s head back to her though, which Trini was grateful for. She had bad memories of her own. Trini moved forward. She slowly and gently started to lick and suck. … and she enjoyed the soft moans that her attentions received.
Demona’s moans became louder, making Trini whimper. She loved listening to Demona’s pleasure. The gargoyle started to caress her hair, and Trini could tell she wanted to hold her still, but didn’t want to force her to do anything. Trini started to concentrate and Demona’s clitoris, gently suckling on it. She couldn’t see it, but it felt larger than normal, she was able to suck it into her mouth partly, so she started to gently suckle while moving her head as if she were doing this for a man. It brought back no painful feelings, which she was grateful for as she simulated a blow job of sort with the two or three inches of Demona’s clitoris. The gargoyle’s hips started to flex towards her. Demona’s heavy breathing, moans, and whimpers filled the quiet room. “So Good…” The gargoyle finally talked. She hadn’t said anything, didn’t appear to talk during sex hardly at all. “Trini… so good…” Demona started to thrust with more force, making it hard for Trini to stay where she needed to be to continue to please her gargoyle, but she managed. “Trini… oh yes… TRINI… YES… TRINI…” Demona’s voice was rising with her passion. Trini could feel the grip on her head become painful for a moment as Demona’s entire body tensed up. She didn’t wince, and she didn’t stop until her lover’s body relaxed. “Oh God, Trini.” Demona’s body seemed to have gone limp. Trini saw a smile on Demona’s lips as the gargoyle looked down at her. Trini was breathing heavily, and felt her wetness starting to drip down her thighs. She licked her lips and stared at Demona hungrily, without moving from her kneeling position in front of the seated gargoyle.
“Trini, do you need?” Demona asked softly while leaning forward to kiss Trini’s lips. Trini could see that Demona tasted herself on Trini’s lips. Demona’s voice got a little deeper. “I… think you do.”
Trini was lying on her back, breathing a little heavily, as Demona crawled between her legs. “I want to look at you.” The gargoyle said softly and Trini whimpered in need. Demona used the back of her talons to open Trini’s sex up to her eyes. “So pink.” The gargoyle said quietly. The light caress directly on her clit made Trini arch up and moan. She then watched with hungry eyes as Demona lifted her talon to her mouth to tentatively taste Trini’s arousal.
“If you don’t want to…” Trini remembered her first time doing that, and it had made her uncomfortable and a bit more than slightly nervous.
“I want to, but I have to be careful.” Demona said softly and then opened her mouth and ran her tongue along her fangs. “I’d hate to hurt you.”
Trini smiled at her tenderly. She wasn’t worried about that, Demona would never do anything to hurt her, and she’d heal if accidents happened. She hadn’t thought about the fangs, even though she had to remember them when she kissed the gargoyle. Now that she was thinking about it, they really shouldn’t be in the way. “It should be fine.”
Demona caped her wings about her body and leaned down to gently lick along Trini’s sex. “Uhh..” Trini moaned out at that first touch. Demona continued to lick, but wasn’t putting her fangs anywhere near Trini’s sex. Trini reached down to wrap one hand around Demona’s head and gently tried to encourage her to get closer. “It’ll be okay… please…” Trini panted out. When Demona moved forward, Trini arched her back off the blanket as the flames of pleasure increased, and her entire body tensed… waiting. It wasn’t going to take very long, she was already beyond aroused when they moved to the blanket. Trini moved her hands away from the gargoyle pleasuring her and put them above her head, afraid that they’d change to talons, even though she hadn’t had that happen during sex in a while. She didn’t want to hurt Demona. Demona pulled away from her, making Trini whimper. She’d been close.
Demona crawled up her body, her face glistening with Trini’s secretions, panting heavily. “Trini… I want to use my tail.” As soon as that was said Trini could feel it caressing her sex… and starting to push inside. “Okay?”
Trini wrapped her arms around Demona’s neck and pulled her down for a heated kiss. The gargoyle took that as permission and Trini groaned as the tail pushed into, filling her more than she’d ever been. Fox had never gotten around to trying more than her fingers. Trini’s head fell back to the blanket as she moaned out her pleasure. Demona started a gentle in and out motion that had Trini gritting her teeth. She found her mouth clamping onto Demona’s shoulder, she wanted… to bite her. Trini started to whimper as she fought to control that urge. She didn’t want to hurt her. “It’s okay… it’s a mating bite. You can do it.” Demona moaned out wantonly. “Do it!” Trini pressed down, Demona’s body tensed, but the gargoyle didn’t try to pull away and she didn’t scream as Trini broke her skin. The tail inside of her was moving more quickly, and twisting… Trini pulled her mouth away from Demona’s shoulder and started to scream… “yes… ahh… uhhh… please…” Her hips started to thrust up, but Demona’s hands and knees were supporting Demona’s body, so Trini wasn’t getting any contact. She looked up into Demona’s brightly glowing eyes and bared her neck. The fangs cutting into her hurt as Demona returned the bite, but there was something just so right about the pain. Demona held her still like that and Trini could feel the back side of the gargoyle’s talon started to quickly move across her clit. “YES… OH YES…” Trini screamed out as her body arched up and her release hit her sending bolts of pleasure throughout her body.
When Trini’s body went limp, she could feel Demona pulling her tail out. Demona released her bite and lowered her body to kiss Trini very gently, and then licked at the blood trickling down her shoulder. “Biting is normal?” Trini was panting a little as she tried to recover from the sex. She’d worried about her impulse to bite Fox that time in the kitchen.
Demona pulled back and looked into her eyes. “It’s part of the mating ritual, it shows that you are claiming me as yours.” Demona’s face was filled with wonder and love. Trini pulled her down to inspect the bite she’d made in Demona’s shoulder. It was already starting to heal, and Trini felt relieved that her lover wouldn’t have to deal with the pain for long. She didn’t have fangs, so she had to bite pretty hard to do this, and she could see bruising that was disappearing. She kissed the wound gently.
They moved to both lie on the blanket. Demona was on her side smirking at Trini. “I’d say, internally… you’re all gargoyle.” Trini looked into the satisfied and smug face of her lover, confused at how she’d be able to tell that. “Trini… do you have any idea of how much of my tail you were able to take before I couldn’t go in any further?” Demona’s tail snaked over the gargoyle’s legs and Demona grabbed her own tail. “I felt you gripping me here.” Demona pointed at a point on her tail that just seemed… impossible. Trini’s eyes widened. She couldn’t have taken that much, what was that, almost a foot and a half?! “Gargoyle females have their uterus much higher in the body than a human.” Well, that would explain how Angela got conceived. Trini made a slight face. She didn’t want to think about Demona with that… male. Her jealousy surprised her, because she was feeling this for an ex-mate of Demona’s. “What are you thinking about?” Demona sounded a little concerned, so Trini looked back into her face.
“I… you are mine, right? You wouldn’t leave me for Goliath, would you?” Inside her head she completed that thought, you wouldn’t leave me like Elisa did. That could be where some of this jealousy came from. Trini stared at the blanket, her mind swirling in insecurity.
When she felt the talon caressing her quickly healing bit she looked back up into tender eyes. “This… this shows that you are my mate now. Not him, and not Thailog. It’s just you, and I couldn’t be happier with that.” The caress moved to Trini’s hair.
They made love until three am, and would have continued all night, but Demona was concerned that Trini get enough sleep. Trini would have argued, but she could feel the dizziness that told her she was already too tired. Neither of them dressed for bed, and Trini relished the feel of the gargoyle pressed into her back as she fell asleep. Demona wrapped her wing around her like a blanket, and Trini could feel the gargoyle’s heart beat through the wing surrounding her, making her feel like she was a part of the female beside her. She fell asleep with a smile on her face. It had gone much better than she’d hoped. A large part of her had been afraid that Demona wouldn’t be able to deal with Trini touching her, but aside from a few tense moments… it was beautiful.
Trini woke up when Demona got out of bed to change into her human form. She waited for her to return. Once the redhead did she delivered her message. “Fox said to tell you to call her today before you went to work.”
“When did you talk to Fox?” Domi asked, looking puzzled.
Trini bit her lip nervously before answering. She hadn’t mentioned how strong the bond was and didn’t want Domi feeling left out. “She can visit my dreams and train with me.” Originally it was the Weird Sisters that made that possible, but they had showed Fox and her how to do it on their own now. They just always met in Trini’s dreams, because Fox wasn’t comfortable with the Weird Sisters in hers.
“Oh.” Domi said quietly and then crawled back into bed naked. Trini glanced at her for a moment before leaning forward to kiss her gently on the lips. “I want to get ready for work. I need to go in early today.” Trini pulled away and released her hold on Domi so the redhead could get up. “You need to get more sleep. You’ll be falling asleep at your desk.”
“Yes Ma’am.” Trini grinned at Domi. Ordering her to sleep wouldn’t help her fall asleep.
Trini did manage to fall asleep. Domi stood next to the bed watching her, dressed in black slacks and a red cotton button up shirt. Her hair was down and wild, like she wore it in her night form. Domi’s face held a tender smile as she leaned down and kissed Trini’s forehead. “I better go, we have a lot to do today.” She whispered quietly and then left. Trini tiredly turned onto her side, unaware of the world around her.
Gregory came to get her at noon. Trini didn’t miss the speculative look he gave her. Domi was right, she needed her own car, because the driver was starting to figure it out. It wouldn’t take much longer for the people at NightStone to notice. “Ms. Stephens, I was wondering… I got some tickets to a new play from my brother in law.” Trini gritted her teeth mentally, waiting for it. She hated it when men tried to pick her up, especially lately. “Maybe you and Ms. Destine would like to go. I don’t like to go to things like that.” Trini stared at him, a little surprised. He gave her a small smile and opened the limo door for her. He spoke more quietly, “I think it’s great, the two of you.” Trini smiled shyly at him and slid into the limo. She had no idea what to say to that.
“Thanks but I don’t think I’ll be able to get her to go.” Trini said quietly.
He smiled, “It’s a matinee.” He then pulled two tickets out of his pocket and handed them to her. “Keep them or give them away. Whatever you want.”
Trini looked him in the eye, for the first time since she’d become involved with Domi. “Thank you.” He smiled at her and closed the door. That was just plain odd. She had Domi’s driver’s approval. She doubted that Domi realized Gregory gave a damn. It was a little funny that the human hating female had humans around her that liked her. That reminded Trini that Andrea should be coming back soon. Were they going to continue to spend time with Andrea together, like they had before the mess with Canada? Were they able to tell Andrea that their relationship changed? Trini remembered how Andrea reacted to the idea of two women together, and how funny she seemed to think it was. Hopefully the artist would handle this better, because she was the only human friend Domi had, and Trini didn’t want anything messing that up. Andrea had no idea how truly extraordinary it was that she and Domi were friends. That friendship gave Trini something to work with while trying to make Domi understand that not all humans deserved to die.
Trini sighed as she stared at her right hand. Another ring had broken off, and Selene was right. The black band was turning red. She had an idea now of why they were doing that. She tugged on them, like Luna had done, but they were still stuck. She’d deal with explaining it to her lovers after they were ready to come off. She still didn’t know what they did, and she couldn’t see either Fox or Domi accepting this if they didn’t know.
Trini was surprised to find out that Ms. Destine was away for the entire day again. She hadn’t mentioned it to her this morning, but then they’d been talking about other things. Lori held out her mail, and when Trini went grab it she could see the woman staring at her nails with disapproval. Trini wasn’t wearing any nail polish, so her naturally black nails showed. She’d stopped trying to cover it up because nail polish always popped off when she switched to her talons. Her rings, however, changed size to fit her larger talons. “That really isn’t very professional. I don’t know why Ms. Destine lets you get away with that.” Lori spoke in a clipped voice that irritated Trini. It was bad enough her body was changing; she didn’t need HER employees to give her shit about it!
“Lori, I realize I may not have made this very clear, but… I am your boss. I am not a secretary, I don’t do personal errands like picking up her dry cleaning, I help her run this company. I’ve received nothing but attitude from you since I started here, and I want it to stop. Consider that your verbal warning.” Trini said in a fake pleasant voice, while trying to keep herself from getting angry. She didn’t need to terrify the woman with glowing eyes. Trini then took her mail and went into her office without looking back. As she sat down she wondered if she’d been too harsh, but… that was how Domi would have wanted her to deal with it. Actually Domi would have fired her on the spot, but Trini just didn’t feel up to finding a new person just yet. Lori worked okay with Domi, it was just her the woman didn’t respect.
Trini worked until five and then got up to go. It felt odd not being able to say goodbye to Domi, but she never came in. She caught a cab to go home, feeling a little nervous about seeing Fox. Now that her relationship with Demona was physical, she hoped Fox would be okay with that. Fox had agreed to share, but… that didn’t mean it would be easy for her.
Trini took a deep breath while she waited for the elevator up to her rooms. She was surprised when Fox stepped up beside her. “How was work?” Fox asked quietly.
“I’m planning to fire the receptionist.” Trini turned to smirk at Fox. “Any good ones here I can steal?”
“I don’t think David would like it if you started taking his employees.” Fox pretended to scold her. Trini was so involved with talking to Fox she didn’t see the redhead leaving from the other elevator while running her hands through her damp hair. Domi left quickly while nodding to Fox. Fox nodded subtly back.
Fox went to the shower right away, she was sweaty from working out. Trini took that time to pay her bills and check her phone messages. Andrea called to tell her that she was back home and that she’d like it if Trini came over to visit sometime soon. Trini called her back right away and made arrangements to have dinner later in the week. After that call she pulled the tickets that Gregory gave her out of her purse and called Domi. She got the machine and asked her out on a date. If Domi thought it was too risky to go out in public, she’d tell Trini, but Trini really wanted to be able to go out with her and do things. This play was on Sunday, which might ruin the car shopping plans.
Fox came out of her shower. She was wearing a towel wrapped around her body. Trini sat and watched her go into the bedroom before getting up to follow her. “Fox.” Trini said softly. Fox turned away from the closet too look at her. “I… I was with Blue last night.”
Fox moved closer, and Trini didn’t see any anger in her lover’s eyes. “I knew it would happen eventually.” Fox grinned mischievously, “So was she any good?” Trini just grinned and blushed. “I take that as a yes?” Fox reached out to Trini and caressed her cheek. “Honey, I love you.” Fox said tenderly and leaned in to kiss her. Trini wrapped her arms around Fox’s waist, feeling her tension melt away as it became obvious to her that this wasn’t going to be an issue.
Fox got dressed and they were almost ready to go have dinner. Fox pulled Trini close and nibbled on her ear just enough to make Trini’s breath catch. Then she whispered softly into Trini’s ear, “I would like to hear details at some point.” Fox pulled back and looked at her with a seductive smile. Trini had worried that details would upset Fox, but there was no denying the hunger in Fox’s eyes.
A wicked smile crossed Trini’s face as she leaned in to Fox’s ear and spoke softly, “Do you want to know how she moaned when I touched her? Do you want to know what she looked like when she came? Is that the sort of thing you want to hear?” Her grin grew when she heard a whimper of arousal from Fox. She wasn’t going to give Fox details, because Domi was a private person, and might not appreciate it, but it was interesting to see Fox's reaction to her comments.
Trini was a little tense when the sun went down. Fox was staying with Trini while they waited for the inevitable visit. Goliath would definitely want to see that her arm was fine. The knock on the door still managed to startle Trini, even though she was expecting it. Fox got up to answer it while Trini worked quickly to save her work and close it. "Goliath, Angela." Fox said stiffly. "I guess you want to come in."
Trini took a deep breath and tried to appear a little friendlier than she felt. He'd scared her, and Domi's spell wasn't ready yet. It would be cast tomorrow. At least Fox had aired out her apartment all day yesterday, so the pheromone level was lower than it had been during Goliath's last visit. Fox lead the two gargoyles into the living room. Trini moved to follow them. "Hey Angela." Trini gave the female a weak smile.
Angela moved closer to her and glanced at the previously broken arm. "You healed." She sounded surprised.
Trini held up her arm and moved it around to show it worked fine. "Yeah, still a little weak, but I'm fine." Trini lied smoothly. Her arm was completely fine.
"How is it that you heal so quickly when you don't have a stone sleep?" Goliath asked. Trini rolled her eyes, and she could tell that Angela noticed that.
"The sun still helps me heal." Trini gave a minimal answer. She then indicated that Angela could sit down. Goliath was already seated on the chair, and Fox was seated on one of the couches. Trini sat beside her love, leaving Angela the other couch. She then looked Goliath right in the eye. "Why are you here?"
"I wanted to apologize for hurting you." Goliath started diplomatically. A touch of his self-righteousness slipped into his voice, "I will stop trying to protect you from your own foolishness. You are still welcome with the clan, and can choose to do patrols with us if you want." Trini suspected that he was planning to try a more subtle approach to break her and Fox up, because Angela wasn't able to look at her when her father said that.
"Well, thank you ever so much for that beautiful apology." Trini said sarcastically.
Goliath's voice was a little softer, "Trini, why are you gay? Did something bad happen to you to make you gay?" Trini's tensed, and she could hear Fox getting ready to really lay into him. She reached over and put her hand on Fox's knee to try and help her control her temper. It was the same tactic she used with Domi, and it seemed to work a little. She could feel Fox's tension, but her lover didn't say anything. She could see both gargoyles’ noticing her touching Fox, but she didn't care what they thought about that.
"I've always been gay. Women... are beautiful, desirable. It's an impossible question, why... Why are you not?" Trini only answered because Angela was there, and would wonder these things about her mother. "Why do we fall in love with the people that we do?" Trini was actually talking civilly with Goliath, she should mark this day on the calendar.
"So something terrible didn't happen that made you that way?" Goliath pushed, and Trini knew exactly what he was getting at. She just shook her head no. "And the nightmares? And your fear of males?"
Trini tensed up and glared at him. "None of your business... and I'm not afraid of males."
"You won't let the males carry you on patrol." Goliath continue to push, purposely ignoring her body language that was practically screaming for him to drop it.
"I'm just not comfortable with that. I... don't need to explain myself." Trini spoke quickly and a little more loudly.
"I think this is a good time for you to leave Goliath." Fox said coldly.
After they left Trini sat back on her couch wearily. "He suspects it. Dammit!" Trini started to rub her forehead.
"You didn't used to do that before you remembered." Fox said quietly while sitting down beside her. Trini looked at her confused. "Rub your forehead. You do that now when your upset, but you never did that before." Fox reached out and took the hand Trini was using in her own. Her expression was serious. "You do seem a little afraid of males some times." A shadow went across the window that neither of them saw.
“I know.” Trini said tiredly. “But I can’t admit I was raped, because of everything else surrounding it.” The sound of talons cutting into concrete outside her open window didn’t really register in Trini’s mind as she stared at Fox’s hand. “I’m getting better… you can see that can’t you?”
“Yes. You are getting better.” Fox smiled sadly at her.
Trini looked up at Fox with a weak smile of her own. It was still relatively early, but she wasn’t in the mood to write anymore. She sighed heavily again. “I… I’m going to work on figuring out what I want for my new car.”
Fox quickly latched onto the change of topic for Trini. “What have you narrowed it down to?”
“I have no idea. I want a convertible, so it has access from the air. I also don’t want it to cost too much.” Trini was trying to plan for every possibility. Demona might need to land in it from the air sometime.
“If you keep it too cheap, I think you might have hell to pay.” Fox’s voice held a note of warning. “We rich types like to spend freely on loved ones.”
“So now I’m taking expensive gifts for the good of others? This is really messed up.” Trini had a small smirk on her lips.
“Lex knows cars, he might be able to help you narrow it down.” Fox’s suggestion was a good idea. She didn’t know cars enough to do this alone, not in the time frame Domi gave her. It would also give her time to get to know Delilah’s potential mate. Trini turned down the hall to email him. The shadow outside her window moved, revealing a set of white glowing eyes for a moment before taking off.
Trini emailed Lex before starting her search. He replied ten minutes later, and was eager to help her search. Delilah was on patrol, and he was a little bored. He stayed on his computer and emailed Trini links to anything that looked promising. That way Trini could also search. Trini printed out any car that looked remotely interesting. Fox had left while she was researching with Lex. She decided to spend some time with David before bedtime.
When Lex asked if he could come to her apartment and look over the printouts with her, Trini hesitantly agreed. When the knock came on the window, instead of the door, Trini jumped a little. She still wasn’t used to people using that as a door. Lex looked very serious when he came inside. “Trini… I wanted to talk to you about a few things.” Trini’s expression darkened as she prepared for some sort of negative response to her being with Fox. “I tried to drop by earlier to talk with you about Delilah and me.” The awkward pause after that made Trini nervous and her eyes widened. “I heard… I heard you were raped.”
Day 6 – Saturday –
August 2nd
“What?” Trini stared at him in shock, wishing that this wasn’t happening. Her face paled and her heart started to pound. She sat down heavily on the nearest couch and just stared at him. She had no idea what to do now.
Lex’s face became full of concern as he slowly sat beside her. “Are you okay?” Trini looked over at him, and noticed the window was opened. That was how she ended up in this situation. She got up and moved over to it, slamming it shut a bit angrily. If she had just thought about doing that before…
“Lex, you can’t tell anyone about this!” Trini turned her glowing red eyes to him, her face full of desperation and pleading.
He looked at her with pity… it had to be pity it his eyes and Trini hated it. “You didn’t do anything wrong. Elisa might be able to help you.”
Trini’s voice rose a little hysterically, “Elisa can NEVER find out!” She started to rub her forehead, while she bit her lip hard enough to draw blood. She wasn’t going to cry! Her voice became calmer, and much quieter. She didn’t have a choice. She needed to tell him why she needed him to keep quiet. “I killed them Lex. If Elisa finds out, I don’t know what will happen to me.”
“Oh God.” Lex seemed to pale. Trini was staring at him intensely, waiting for his response, because he’d gone very quiet. “Who were they?” He asked softly, obviously wanting to reach out and take her hand. Trini didn’t reach back, so he let his hand fall awkwardly onto the couch.
“Quarrymen.” Trini said softly, while she kept checking her windows, worried that another gargoyle would listen in. “Please, you can’t tell anyone.”
Lex spoke slowly, as if surprised he was saying this, “I won’t.” He looked at her intensely, “Does Delilah know about this?”
“I didn’t tell her.” Trini said softly and started to nervously play with her rings.
Lex sat staring at her. Trini could feel it, and it made her look up at him. “Delilah would want to be there for you. She cares about you.” He said gently.
Trini felt some of the tears she’d fought against starting to fall down her cheeks. “I can’t… if anyone finds out what happened, I don’t want them to say she covered for me. The clan probably already treats her different because she’s my friend.” She took a deep breath. “This clan is good for her, and I don’t want to screw it up.”
“Goliath wouldn’t…” Lex started strong, but he trailed off.
“Do we want to risk it?” Trini said a little coldly. “Her life is here… maybe with you. Do we want to screw that up, just so I have another shoulder to cry on? What I did to them… wasn’t all self defense. I made them pay. I did things… things I don’t want her to know I am capable of doing.”
Lex stood up to go, and Trini tensed up. She had no idea if she could trust him. “I won’t tell her. I won’t tell anyone.” Lex opened the window.
“Use the door from now on.” Trini glared at him. “This is my home… I deserve some privacy.”
“I’m sorry. I just wanted to talk.” He sat on the ledge, getting ready to jump out. “I didn’t mean to spy on you.”
“Is everything going okay with Delilah?” Trini hoped that they weren’t having trouble, or that he hadn’t heard about how she taught Delilah to kiss. His slightly goofy grin helped to ease those worries.
“She’s great.” He started to blush, “She told me that you… you could get us a room when we decided to...”
“You think you two are ready for that?” Trini felt her heart beating faster as she fought the urge to hurt him for wanting to touch her friend. It was stupid, she encouraged Delilah to date, but she still felt the white haired gargoyle was so young. Some of her feelings must have showed on her face, because he was looking very nervous. “She has a room in the castle already. One that is just her’s, I had Fox set it up but I haven’t had time to show her yet.” Trini smiled weakly, “I don’t want the two of you making out in alleys. It isn’t safe or special. Her first time should be special. Have her visit me early tomorrow night and I’ll show it to her.”
“Thank you.” Lex looked like he wanted to say more, but he just jumped out the window and glided off.
Trini was staring out the window. She pushed her other problems aside as Owen answered the phone. “Owen, is Angela home?”
“Yes she is.”
“Okay… could you do me a favor?” Trini leapt into her explanation. “Could you tell her Marie is on the phone and wants to talk to her?”
“Who is Marie?”
“Marie is Demona’s mate, and she is going to get a lesson in illusions 101 soon. She wants to meet Angela and talk.”
Owen’s voice became even more professional and unemotional, “I will inform her of your call Marie.” He was playing along.
Trini cleared her throat and moved away from the closed blinds, getting ready to become Marie. Angela’s hesitant and confused voice brought her mind back to focusing on the plan. “Marie? Is mother okay?”
“Demona’s fine.” Trini quickly reassured her, “I called because you said you wanted to meet me once. Do you still want to?”
“I… yes.” Angela sounded pretty surprised at the offer, and Trini understood that. When Angela first brought it up, she’d quickly shot it down.
“How can we do that? I can’t exactly waltz into the castle can I?” Trini sighed as if that irritated her. She didn’t want to do this at the castle. She was hoping she could get Angela to suggest they meet somewhere private, just the two of them. She’d suggest it herself, but it might make Angela suspicious, since she didn’t fully trust her mother.
“I have Monday night off.” Angela paused and Trini just waited for the girl to come up with something. “I could meet you somewhere. Maybe on the tall building next to the NightStone building?” Trini smiled. That would be perfect. She was planning to see Andrea for dinner, but she would be able to meet Angela afterwards.
“That sounds good. Don’t tell your mother we’re doing this. I need to talk to you alone.” Trini had things that she needed to say that Demona shouldn’t really hear, not yet.
“I shouldn’t really be alone with you.” Angela sounded a bit nervous.
“Is there anyone you can trust to keep this quiet?”
“Maybe. I’ll have to see.” Angela said slowly, but she sounded less wary of Trini’s motives.
“Just… don’t bring your father. I’m not much of a warrior, and I don’t want to get killed.” Trini could imagine the mess that would be and didn’t want to deal with it.
“No, it’s father I’m trying to keep this from. I haven’t told him I’ve been talking to mother. He would order me to stop.”
“Okay, well… anyone else is fine.” Trini was still trying to build Angela’s trust in her. She didn’t want to end up sitting on the roof of NightStone alone because the female changed her mind. “I should get going. See you then.” Angela wouldn’t bring anyone that would be too mean to her mother’s new mate.
“Oh… wait…” Angela talked quickly to stop her from hanging up. “I wanted to ask you something.”
“Okay.” Trini wondered what couldn’t wait until Monday night.
“How did you meet my mother?”
Trini grinned at the memory of meeting Demona in her night form. “I was patrolling a park and she attacked me.” That was the more interesting story of her first times seeing her new mate.
“You patrol?” Angela sounded stunned.
“Not very often, but… sometimes.” Trini kind of missed going out on patrol once in a while, because she had been making a bit of a difference. “I don’t hate humans like she does, but I can understand why she would. She hasn’t had a very easy life.” Trini forced her voice to become more upbeat. “I look forward to meeting you. We can talk more then, but I really need to get going before I’m caught.” She didn’t want Fox to come in and say something before she realized Trini was on the phone. That would destroy her cover.
“Oh… okay.” Angela sounded very disappointed. “I’ll see you about an hour after sunset.”
Trini showered and was ready for bed before Fox came back. Her lover took one look at her, sitting on the couch listening to music and suddenly looked concerned. “What happened?”
“You’re getting good at reading me.” Trini smiled weakly. Her face lost it’s smile quickly. “We had another peeping tom today. Lex… heard about.” Trini sighed, “the rape. He said he wouldn’t talk… but I just…”
“Why didn’t you call me or come get me?!” Fox moved to sit next to her on the couch quickly.
“What good would that do. We can’t do anything about it now. I just have to hope he can keep his word.”
“He’s horrible at lying. He wouldn’t talk on purpose, but I don’t know that he can keep it quiet.”
Trini stared into Fox’s eyes. “Well, I had no choice in the matter. This is the third time I’ve had trouble with gargoyles at my windows or sneaking into my room. Can we set up a laser to shoot the next one down?” Trini didn’t really mean that, but… it was a very weak attempt at humor. Fox looked like she was actually considering it. Trini didn’t stop her.
They were in bed, trying to fall asleep, when Fox spoke suddenly. “So… is she a screamer?” Trini looked up to see a hint of a smile on Fox’s face. Her night vision was very handy at times like this. Fox couldn’t see her. She lunged at her lover and started to tickle her along the redhead’s sides. Fox squirmed while laughing. “Stop… I give up, I’ll stop asking…” Trini stopped and was surprised when Fox lunged at her and pinned her to the bed. Fox leaned down and whispered seductively in her ear. “I want to make you scream.” Trini arched her back and moaned as Fox’s voice seemed to caress her body. “Will you scream for me baby?” Fox asked breathlessly.
“Oh, God… Fox. Just take me, please…” Trini’s hunger chased away her exhaustion.
Trini cuddled up to Fox still a bit out of breath from their exertions. Fox was wild tonight, and Trini knew it was because of Demona. It wasn’t a hard claiming, like she’d done to Trini right after finding out Trini was attracted to the gargoyle, but it was definitely possessive. She fell asleep with a smile on her face. She really could have them both.
“So another ring broke off?” Phoebe asked while taking Trini’s hand again to stare at it. As soon as Fox had disappeared her fair haired relative moved closer to check it out. Phoebe was running her fingers up and down over the finger that had the now three separate rings on it. Trini stared at the pale fingers lightly, seductively, caressing her hand.
“Are you hitting on me?” Trini asked quietly, afraid of the answer. She licked her lips nervously, too stunned to move as Phoebe smiled wickedly while moving her caress up Trini’s bare arms. Trini’s jaw dropped as Phoebe started to caress her pointed ear tips, sending jolts of pleasure down Trini’s neck. “I… I’m not comfortable with this.” Please stop, she pleaded mentally. It was feeling too good, and that was just so wrong on so many levels. Phoebe nodded and backed away a little.
“Phoebe, I told you Trini isn’t interested in playing with us!” Selene seemed to appear from out of nowhere, looking at Phoebe with a bit of anger on her face. Trini took a step back, not wanting to get between those two while they argued. Selene stopped her with a hand on her shoulder and moved to look into Trini’s eyes. “I’m sorry about that.” Trini could feel Selene’s hand on bare flesh and looked down. Her heart jumped when she realized that she was naked. A hot blush came to her face and the looked around the ground frantically with her eyes, wondering where her clothes had gone. The light touches on her hips made her look back down just in time to see Selene on her knees leaning in to… Oh God, No… Trini almost fell backwards in her attempts to get away from… it felt so good! Her legs parted more without her realizing that she was encouraging Selene’s oral attentions.
“I’m sorry Selene, but she’s just so…” Phoebe said from behind Trini, where she started to caress Trini’s scars. Trini moaned loudly, unable to stop the onslaught. Luna smirked at Trini and moved closer to pull Trini into a passionate kiss, while straddling her dark haired sister so she could get close enough to do that. Trini’s eyes widened in shock, as Luna started to rub Trini’s sensitive ear tips while kissing her passionately. Trini moaned into Luna’s mouth as she felt her body tensing. She grabbed Luna and pulled her close, while thrusting against Selene’s mouth. Phoebe moved her caresses to Trini’s pheromone ducts and Trini screamed as she came. It was only the sisters’ grip on her that kept her from falling to the ground as her body shook with her release.
Trini tried to frantically deny what had just happened. This was so wrong! It was incest! She was cheating on both of her lovers with her family. This was so sick! This is not happening!
“No, it’s not happening.” Another Luna spoke from beside her suddenly. The white haired woman holding her had disappeared. “We had to leave you alone for a moment.” Luna waved her hands at the other sisters and they disappeared. Trini could now see Phoebe and Selene looking at her with open curiosity next to Luna. Trini blushed hotly when she realized that was a dream. She was having a sex dream with them… and they saw it.
The real Phoebe grinned mischievously, “So another ring broke off? Can I see?” Trini quickly tucked her hands into her pockets, grateful to find herself dressed again, and stared down at the ground. She didn’t see the smirks on the sisters’ faces. Trini sighed heavily when she noticed her shirt was opened and turned around to button it up so that the Weird Sisters wouldn’t see her. Phoebe leaned over to kiss Selene’s mouth hungrily. Phoebe pulled back before Trini could turn around and mouthed to Selene, “Lucky.” Luna stepped closer to Phoebe and started to caress her back lightly.
They practiced with her magic bolts for a while longer. Trini had a hard time looking anyone in the eye, and her concentration was shot. She didn’t manage to do any magic, and she couldn’t stop blushing. It had felt so real. She’d had so many erotic dreams in her life, but they never felt so real. It was extremely disturbing.
Trini was sleeping very soundly when the bedroom door creaked open and Fox looked in on her with a mischievous smile. She quietly snuck into the room, being followed by Domi. She smirked at the gargoyle in human form and spoke in a normal voice. “Trini, I was thinking of dumping all your clothes and making you walk around naked all the time.”
“Uhnn… okay.” Trini mumbled in her sleep. Domi smirked at Fox.
“I wanted to tell you that Owen and Brooklyn are getting married tonight.” Fox smiled when Domi almost started to laugh.
“good.” Trini muttered and rolled over onto her side.
“Lex wants me to buy him condoms, because he and Delilah are having sex right now.” Fox and Domi watched as Trini sat up in her bed suddenly with her eyes starting to glow red. The glow faded once she saw both of her lovers in her bedroom watching her.
Domi chuckled, “You were right, she acts like an overprotective mother with Delilah.” Trini blushed. She looked at Fox and Domi, standing in her bedroom… joking. It seemed so odd that they were getting along so well, and very out of place for them to be talking in here.
“Trini you slept in big time. Get up already.” Fox grinned at her. Trini glanced at the clock and noticed it was noon. That was normal… well, it used to be. “Demona has plans for you today.”
“I will be taking you out today to get a car, so we can go out tomorrow.” Domi told her as if she wasn’t the least bit uncomfortable being in the room that Fox and Trini had sex in just last night. Trini was pretty uncomfortable with it though.
“Okay, but I need a shower.” Trini waited until Fox took mercy on her and closed the door behind them when they left the bedroom, so Trini could grab some clothes. She tried not to think about how thoroughly she’d embarrassed herself in her dream world. It was too much to hope that the second set of Weird Sisters were also a dream.
Trini followed Domi down to the garage. Domi didn’t have her limo and driver today, she was driving her own car. Trini looked over at Domi while the redhead was driving. “Do you have any idea how unbelievably beautiful you are?” She asked softly, her eyes shining with love.
Domi glanced over at her with a small smile and reached out to caress Trini’s tail through her pants. “I looked at the printouts on your coffee table. You like convertibles?”
“Yeah.” Trini grinned guiltily. Buying a convertible was a hard decision for her to make. She was justifying it because of the air access, but she just really liked the look of them. It was a sexiest type of car she could think off, and so different from what her human family would have expected of her.
They pulled into an expensive looking dealership. Trini didn’t like where this was going already. Domi was thinking of a Rolls-Royce for her. She hesitantly got out of the car to follow Domi up to the building. The redhead was walking like she owned the place, with a sure quick stride, so Trini fell in behind her like she’d do during company visits. Her eyes widened when she noticed the price tag on one of the cars, it was more than her mother’s house was worth. She couldn’t drive something like that! “Domi, wait…”
“What is it?”
“I… these cars are too expensive.” Trini spoke quietly, as if afraid to be overheard, but no salesman had come out to them yet.
“I can afford them. Trini there isn’t a car out there that I can’t afford to buy you.” Domi said gently, with the hint of a smile on her face.
“But I’d be afraid to drive something that costs a quarter of a million dollars.”
Domi sighed, “Fine, we’ll find something a little cheaper.” Trini smiled softly and wanted to touch Domi, but had to reign in that impulsive act of love, because they were in public. She hated that she couldn’t even take a lover’s hand because she was worried about the publicity, or some homophobic ass saying something hurtful. With Domi she had the added problem that she really couldn’t be seen with her by anyone that knew them. With Fox, her marriage would make their relationship front page news.
“Thanks.” Trini said softly. She could see a man dressed in an expensive looking suit coming out to them. She really could do without this part of it, but there was no way to get around needing a salesperson. Domi let her explain to the man what she wanted. One important criteria was that it had to be an automatic transmission, because she didn’t know how to drive a manual, and didn’t want to learn. He made a little bit of a face at that. Trini realized that many of the more attractive cars came in stick shifts only.
He started to walk them to a car that he thought Trini might like. She noticed an attractive car that they passed by. It was slightly rounded in the front. She’d never heard of a Aston Martin before. Her eyes widened at the sticker in the window. It was a year old and over a hundred thousand dollars. It was also a stick shift, so at least she didn’t need to worry about Domi getting her that. Domi noticed Trini’s interest in the car as well and glanced inside as they walked by. A slight grimace crossed Domi’s face as she noticed the stick shift. Trini suspected Domi would like Trini to find what she wanted quickly, and would have loved for that car to be perfect.
The car he wanted to show her was a little boxy. Trini didn’t care for the look of it. The Rolls Royce Corniche was a nice black, and Trini was going to give it a chance and try and test drive it to see if it would grow on her, but the second she saw the price, which was well over a quarter million, she decided she wasn’t doing that. Trini looked at the middle aged man, “I don’t really like this one.”
Domi said quietly from her side, “Is it the price tag, because you really don’t need to worry about that.” Trini noticed the salesman perk up at hearing that.
“Its… too square.” Trini felt stupid because she was picking a car strictly based on looks, and she knew that there were other things she should consider as well. “I’d like something a bit rounder.” Domi nodded, accepting that answer. Trini was glad she didn’t mention that the price also bothered her, because that might have irritated Domi.
The salesman left them to get a few more keys from the office. “I didn’t research expensive cars. I don’t even know what there is.” Trini leaned on a lamp post.
“What was the criteria you used in your research?” Domi sounded very much like she was in a meeting at that moment.
“Convertible, four seater, automatic transmission…” Trini blushed a little, “pretty and not more than forty thousand. I was thinking maybe a Mitsubishi or a Saab.” She could see Domi getting ready to argue about the price limit she’d set. “None of the cars I’ve had in the past cost more than eight thousand. It seems like a lot of money to me.”
Domi sounded very tender as she moved a little closer. “Not for a car. Honey, don’t worry so much about how much this is going to cost. None of the cars we’ve seen could put a dent in my bank account. I just want you to get something you’d like.”
Trini noticed a woman drive into the lot in a sleek, beautiful car. That was the sort of thing she wanted. Domi followed her gaze. “The car is a Jaguar… it better be the car you’re looking at.” Trini grinned at her jealous lover. “Is that the sort of car you like?”
“It’s very pretty, but it’s probably a stick.” Trini sighed. All the good ones were sticks and it was beginning to bother her.
Domi pulled out her phone and made a call to another dealership. Jaguar convertibles came in automatic. Domi grinned at Trini. “I think we just need to go check out the Jaguar lot.” The salesman was pretty disappointed when they left.
Trini felt a smile tugging at her lips when they pulled into the Jaguar dealership. They were gorgeous. Domi parked her car and turned to smile at her. “You really like these, don’t you?”
“Yeah. They are so pretty.”
“Well, then… don’t look at the price tag and just get something you like. Pick any color you want, any features.”
Trini balked a bit at the price, but she let Domi buy her the car, even though it almost cost the redhead ninety thousand dollars. They had the pretty gray color in stock for the XKR convertible. Trini could see that Domi was partial to the red one, but the gray one looked so sleek and sophisticated. Domi also told Trini she’d be taking care of the car insurance for her. Trini almost protested, but Domi narrowed her eyes dangerously, so she just thanked her. This was important to Domi, Fox had warned her to not fuss over price. She decided that this wasn’t a battle she could win.
Trini wished that she could spend the rest of the day with Domi, so she could find creative ways to thank her for the new car. It would have to wait until Sunday. Domi was having dinner with Andrea, and Trini wanted Domi to keep her human friend. She wasn’t going to but into their time together. She pretended that she and Fox already had plans, but she knew that Fox’s father was visiting. He, apparently, wouldn’t take the news of Fox’s new lover very well. Trini was surprised to find out that he didn’t know about the Fey, even though he’d married one and had a child with her.
Trini pulled into the family garage. She was now very happy that they had a separate underground garage from the employees that worked in the building. She wasn’t sure if it would be okay to make Fox come down and look at it, or if that would seem like bragging. She had no idea how she was going to explain where she got the money for the car, because she wasn’t going to pretend Fox got it for her.
Trini wandered into the kitchen to grab a snack. She was on her own for dinner tonight. Maybe she’d order a pizza later. Armed with her orange she went back into the hall, and met Owen, leading an elderly man in a wheelchair and an Owen look alike down the hall towards the dining room. “Sir, this is Trinity Stephens. Ms. Stephens, this is Mr. Renard.”
“Trinity. That’s an unusual name.” Mr. Renard said politely. She just smiled politely and shook the offered hand. She was trying to think of a nice way to get away before he started asking questions. She wasn’t fast enough. “So, what do you do around here?”
Trini didn’t have a lie ready. Her mind tried quickly to come up with one, but there weren’t any employees but Owen allowed on this floor. “I live here.”
Renard studied her more carefully. “Oh, really?”
“Yes. It was nice meeting you.” She took a step away, clutching her orange in her hand.
Owen stepped in to try and do some damage control. “Ms. Stephens has some… unique situations that made living here the best option for her.” Trini was about ready to walk away when Renard addressed her again.
“You should join us for dinner.”
“I… have plans, but thank you.” Trini would come up with a plan, even if it were just walking through the park. She could see the old man had questions. Fox really should be the one to deal with this. It was her father. Trini didn’t want to accidentally say something that would cause her lover trouble.
“Well, it was nice meeting you Trinity.” He smiled.
“You too. Have a nice night.”
Trini could hear him asking Owen about her once he thought she was far enough away to not hear.
Trini sat in her apartment, feeling extremely bored and hungry. If she wandered into the kitchen to get more to eat it would be obvious that she’d lied about having plans, and with her luck lately she’d run right into Renard. She picked up her phone and made a call, expecting to just get the answering machine, but Elisa was home. “Hi, how are you doing?” Trini had to be careful to not sound as concerned as she really was. She shouldn’t know about the investigation Elisa had to be working on.
“Trini? Is something wrong?” Elisa sounded a little worried.
“I’m just bored. Do you want to go to dinner?”
“Uh… I… sure. I could pick you up in forty-five minutes.”
“Can I pick you up? I have a new car, and I haven’t had a chance to drive it much.” Trini smiled to herself, as she imagined the look on Elisa’s face when she saw Trini’s Jaguar. She wanted to show off to someone.
“What did you get?” Elisa sounded properly happy for her.
Trini’s smirk grew. “You can see when I pick you up. When can you be ready? I was thinking of making reservations at a restaurant David took me too once.”
“Reservations?” Elisa sighed. “I… I’ll need an hour to dress up for a nice place. Can you pick me up at 7:00?”
Trini quickly changed into something a little dressier, one of her better work suits, and fixed up her make-up for a night out. Well, she still needed to be back by ten to show Delilah her room, but she hadn’t gone out very much after getting back to New York, and she was going to enjoy it. She also didn’t think Elisa got to go to nice places very often. It would be fun to take her.
Trini was running a little late, so she hurried to the elevator. Fox, Alexander and Renard were waiting for it, and Trini would have pretended to be going somewhere else, but the reservations were for seven thirty, and she didn’t have time to mess around or they’d be late. “You’re dressed up.” Fox noticed with a slight smile.
“I’m going out to eat with Elisa.”
“Oh, so you know the detective?” Renard asked.
Trini looked at him and smiled politely. He made her nervous. “She’s a friend of mine.” The elevator arrived and she waited until Renard moved his wheelchair into it before getting in with Fox and Alexander.
The continued with the polite chit chat, until they got to the garage. Fox smiled sympathetically at her while they waited for Fox’s father to get out of the elevator. “You and the detective could join us.” Renard seemed really eager to spend time getting to know Trini. It worried her.
“No, thank you. This is…” Trini was almost ready to claim it was a date just so she could avoid more invitations. “just a girls night out, and I already made reservations.” They were slowly making their way towards the cars.
Trini started to move towards her driver’s side door. “New car?” She almost sighed heavily as she heard the hint of an interrogation in the old man’s voice. She could just imagine how it looked for her to have an expensive car when she had already admitted to being an unpublished writer. Her living here basically rent free also probably didn’t look too good.
Trini gave him another fake smile. “Just got it today.”
“It’s a pretty car.” Alexander said sweetly. He got a real smile from her.
“That’s what I thought.” She looked up at Renard and Fox. “I’m running late. I need to pick Elisa up. It was nice meeting you again.”
Trini loved how well her car handled. She couldn’t really test it out in the city, but it was easy to tell that this thing was made for more than just commuting. When she got to Elisa’s apartment, she got lucky. A space was opened not too far away.
Elisa opened the door to her apartment, and Trini’s heart skipped a beat. She’d never seen Elisa dressed up, and she looked really good. She didn’t even think Elisa wore dresses, but the red dress looked natural, beautiful, on her. The smile on the detective’s face when she looked at Trini was so warm and friendly it almost hurt to look at it. She still felt guilty about the way things ended between them. “I am so glad you called. I really need to get out, it’s been hell at work lately.” Trini could see the slightly haunted look in Elisa’s eyes. It was only visible because she knew to look for it, and because she’d seen that look in the mirror quite a few times since her memories came back.
Trini smiled warmly. “Well, we should get going if we’re going to make our reservation.”
The minute Trini saw Elisa’s eyes widen, she knew the detective had noticed the temporary license on the Jaguar. “You didn’t.” The slight grin on Elisa’s face was all it took to ruin the poker face Trini had been trying to keep. A huge smile crossed her lips as she nodded. She could see Elisa’s eyes shine as she took in the beauty that was Trini’s car.
With her keys held out in one hand, Trini showed Elisa how much she trusted her. “Do you want to drive it?”
Elisa pulled up to the restaurant and handed the valet the keys. “Thanks. That was the most fun I’ve ever had driving.” Elisa said as they got out of the car
“No problem.” Trini’s smile started to falter as she saw who was getting into a familiar car. Domi had taken Andrea here. Trini was suddenly very aware that if someone were to look at how her and Elisa were dressed, they might think this was a date. The narrowing of Domi’s eyes when she saw her and Elisa confirmed it. Elisa hadn’t noticed the redhead and the artist, and Trini didn’t want her to. Elisa had a bit of a temper of her own. “So…” Trini said a little more loudly than was needed in her nervousness. She needed to keep Elisa’s attention on her. “have you ever been to this restaurant?” She could see Andrea getting into Domi’s car, but Domi was watching her intensely as she walked around to the driver’s side of it. Elisa moved next to her and took her arm gently with both of her own. Trini began to wonder if this was a date. She hadn’t meant for it to be, but Elisa was giving off definite date like vibes, with the touching and the soft smiles. Why did she feel so guilty about being caught with Elisa? She was her friend… that was all they were now. It shouldn’t be a problem for her to go out like this… but the look on Domi’s face, the angry glare, made it clear that it was a problem.
“No. I don’t have a lot of… daytime friends.” Elisa said quietly, leaning in to do it. They started to walk away as the valet parked Trini’s new car. The one that Domi bought for her, and Domi had seen Elisa driving. Oh, God… Domi was going to be pissed!
They were seated immediately, and Trini forced herself to push the thoughts of the upcoming argument with Domi out of her mind. She might as well enjoy tonight, since she was going to be paying for it whether or not she did. She tried not to grimace when the man that seated them handed her a napkin with a phone number on it and smiled flirtatiously. That was why she hadn’t been out very much. Her pheromones attracted too much attention. Elisa raised an eyebrow after the man left to go back to his station, and Trini could see the detective was irritated by the blatant attempt he’d made.
After they had eaten dinner Trini found her eyes fixed on Elisa. “We never really went out before.” She hadn’t really noticed that, but they had always met at one of the apartments.
Elisa looked a little guilty at that. “I’m sorry. I should have… when we were together.”
Trini reached out and placed a hand over Elisa’s. She felt bad about saying anything now. “No, I just never noticed until now.” Trini smiled shyly, “I never minded.”
It took a moment for them to regain the proper distance. It was obvious to Trini that Elisa noticed the tenderness, and was trying to distance herself emotionally and physically as she sat back in her seat. “So, how are things at the castle? I haven’t been able to visit for a few days. My new case… takes up a lot of time.” Trini bite back the desire to ask how Elisa was doing, because she could see her eyes were haunted for a moment after she’d mentioned her case. She knew how hard those tapes were to watch, and Elisa knew Kelly too. Trini had been spared from having to watch too much of that tape.
If Elisa hadn’t been to the castle, she didn’t know about the broken arm. She decided to keep that to herself in the hopes that Goliath would know better than to mention it too. “Well, Delilah and Lex are getting very serious. He’s talking about sex.” Trini could hear the disapproval in her own voice, and noticed the raised eyebrow and the smirk on Elisa’s face. “Fox’s dad is visiting right now, so I’m laying low. She didn’t think he’d take… things well.”
“No, I’ve met him. He wouldn’t understand at all.” Trini felt a little bit of surprise at the tone of Elisa’s voice. It was starting to sound like Elisa did understand. “How are you and the rest of the clan getting along?”
Trini nibbled on her lip while she tried to figure out how to answer that. “I don’t see them very much. Goliath visited a couple times to talk. He really doesn’t approve of my relationship with Fox.”
Elisa’s eyes became a bit concerned, but the waiter chose that moment to arrive with the check. Trini handed over her credit card before Elisa had a chance to try and pay. She still had money in the bank, and she’d be getting a pay-check soon. At the narrowing of Elisa’s eyes Trini realized she’d made a bit of a mistake, “You can pay the next time.” She smiled softly, and was relieved when that seemed to help Elisa’s pride.
After they got in the car Elisa finally asked her question. “Did you find out if he’s affected?”
Trini didn’t care for having this conversation while she was driving, but she pulled out into the road and then answered. “He was affected. We reworked the spell to stop that.” Trini felt a blush covering her cheeks, “Have you ever seen him naked?”
“What?! You didn’t!” Elisa’s alarm made Trini realize how poorly she’d asked that question.
“No, I didn’t… it’s just, when he visited me I could tell… He’s…” Trini was stammering in her embarrassment, but Elisa deserved to know this. “He’s huge… too huge for you, you won’t be able to…”
Elisa stiffened up in her seat, and Trini noticed it out of the corner of her eye. “This really isn’t any of your business.” She said coldly.
Elisa’s tone made Trini feel like less than an acquaintance. It hurt. “No, it isn’t. I just can’t stop worrying about you. I’m sorry.” They sat in awkward silence for a while, until Trini pulled up to drop Elisa off at her apartment.
“Trini… I’m sorry.” Elisa turned to face her. “Will you come up?” Trini was going to say no, because it was already almost nine, but when she turned to Elisa she could see it plainly on the detective’s face. She needed her to stay for a while. Elisa’s expression was vulnerable, her eyes almost pleading.
“I just need to call in.” It was already dark, so she should be able to get a hold of Lex or Delilah to tell them that she’d be late. Trini didn’t notice the shadow in the sky that glided over the street and landed on Elisa’s apartment building as she got out of the car to follow Elisa inside.
They sat on the couch to talk. “I’m sorry I snapped at you.”
“I was out of line, it’s okay.”
“No…” Elisa ran her fingers through her hair as she looked into Trini’s eyes, “We’ve talked about you and Fox. I should be willing to do the same.” Trini watched with a bit of concern as Elisa sighed heavily, “Goliath and I are having… problems. Now it makes a bit more sense.” Elisa looked Trini in the eyes, and could probably see Trini flinch as she spoke, “I’ve been trying to get us to be more… intimate, and he’s been putting it off. At first I thought it was his old fashion beliefs, but you’re saying he physically can’t…”
Trini felt horrible having to tell Elisa this, “He’d tear you apart. It just won’t work that way. Gargoyle sex organs are different.”
“But you looked…”
“Not on the inside. You never went inside.” Trini was so intent on watching Elisa’s quickly covered moment of pain, she didn’t see the red glowing eyes or hear the hiss outside the skylight. They sat in quiet for a moment.
“So… Fox took your virginity? I bet she was surprised it was still there.”
Trini smiled weakly, “No more so than you had been.”
Elisa spoke softly, “I just couldn’t hurt you like that.”
“I know. I understood, I was disappointed, but I understood.” Trini could feel her face blushing at this frank discussion with her ex-lover.
Elisa scooted closer and rested a hand on Trini’s knee, “Did it hurt?”
Trini licked her suddenly dry lips, “No, it was a little uncomfortable after, but it didn’t hurt.” She smiled a little, “I was relieved when it didn’t heal up like all my other wounds do. I would hate to be the perpetual virgin.” Elisa’s laughter helped both of them relax.
“Do you want some wine?” Elisa asked, while getting up from her seat. Trini would be staying a while. Maybe she’d get lucky and Renard would have left before she got home. They didn’t bring up Goliath again, and Trini didn’t push it. Just because Elisa and Goliath couldn’t do some things, didn’t mean they wouldn’t be able to have a sex life. She hated thinking about it, but she hoped that Elisa would be happy, and if that meant him… then she’d be happy for her.
Trini spent time telling Elisa about some of the things going on in her life, the things she could admit to at least. Her lawsuit against her step-father, and his frequent calls to yell at her voice mail concerned Elisa. Lex’s help with her the car search made Elisa smile, and Trini got the impression that Elisa was glad Trini was making more gargoyle friends. She wasn’t really sure Lex was a friend yet, but his willingness to cover for her made her think that he might be.
They chatted and watched a TV movie. It was the sort of thing that Trini would do with Delilah, and it was nice that her relationship with Elisa was repaired enough to do that with her now too. She felt a little bad when she could see Elisa gazing at her longingly when she thought Trini wouldn’t be able to see her. The pheromones were affecting Elisa, causing her to sit closer than needed, to place her hand on Trini’s leg or arm often, and it was hard to pretend she didn’t notice these slip ups that so clearly made Elisa uncomfortable when she caught herself doing it. Trini finally decided she had to tell Elisa what was going on with her pheromones. “The spell we use to control my pheromones… doesn’t block for humans.” Trini said suddenly when a commercial break started. “That’s why I got two phone numbers while we were at the restaurant.”
Elisa was quiet for a moment, “Two? I only saw one.”
“My receipt had another one.” Trini took a deep breath. “It affects Fox.” She said gently as a way to lead up to this. “I think it affects you too.”
Elisa had a bit of a blush to her cheeks. Trini decided that it was time for her to go. Elisa didn’t try to stop her, she was probably embarrassed. Trini just told her because it was becoming obvious that Elisa was upset with herself whenever she made a pass at Trini in some way. It gave Elisa an excuse, so that she wouldn’t be angry with herself. It was also becoming hard to take, knowing it wasn’t real… and that she couldn’t have her even if it were.
Trini was walking across the street to her car when a shadow swooped down from the sky, grabbing her roughly under her arms and lifting her up into the air. Trini’s heart started to pound. “Who is it?!” She yelled out, needing to be able to place the gargoyle carrying her up into the sky. She got no response, which just scared her. They whipped around a building and then rose quickly to glide over a taller rooftop. Trini’s body dangled and she felt like she might be dropped. Her breathing became faster, and her face paled as the memory of falling off that building over a month ago hit her. Trini was dropped not too gently to the roof from about ten feet above it. She was able to land gracefully and then stood up and watched the gargoyle that had landed in the shadows warily. The bright red eyes gave her a hint to who it could be, but… why was she grabbing her like this?! This was aggressive, a threat… why?
“I was
watching you, listening to you.” The
angry growl in the familiar voice made Trini’s eyes widened in alarm. “You’ve had sex with her!”
